Protecting yourself
You’re always making promises to people and delivering on
those promises, in the process you always put yourself last. This is not your
fault, it is how you were programmed, or raised if I may put it more gently. We
taught that you must not be selfish.
Over the years, that non-selfishness has moved from internal
to external, meaning we do it for compliance. Hence Nietzsche once proclaimed
that “God is Dead”, didn’t mean the physical super being, but the morality
within and amongst human beings. Nietzsche saw beyond the curve.
Now what does this have to do with us? We know, deep in our
heart that “thou shalt not be selfish”. We feel bad when we break that law,
hence we put people before us, always.
“Thou shalt not be selfish” is a good motion don’t get me
wrong, but once it costs you your happiness, something’s gotta be done.
I know a person who is supporting her family with every last
dime she has. I am running away from the term “Black-Tax” but you get the
picture. So, what I find interesting about her is that she hates every single
one of them from the bottom of her heart [Mom excluded]. She complains about a
lot of things but basically, she is not
being ‘selfish’ for compliance and it’s destroying her.
She needs to look after herself, and protect her happiness.
We all do, sometimes we set ourselves on fire to provide light and warmth for
the people around us, that shit must stop.
Be selfish once in a while, love and pamper yourself… Tell
them Tha_Mzukhlogy gave you permission and they can contact me for further
details…
Have a blessed Sunday,
