Jesus and His 12 [11] disciples

Everyone knows Jesus’s crew, his clique, the ultimate 12. Made up by the likes of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and many more. Jesus actually went around looking for men to join his crew, he wasn’t just taking anyone to be on his team. Rule No.1, “No chicks allowed” and rule No. 2 was you must have a certain skill that you will offer to the crew. Jesus actually wanted 11 disciples, but here is how he ended up with 12.

[I think he had a Toyota Venture, 4 back seat, 4 middle, 2 front seat and the driver]

Anyway, one of the niggas he wanted was Peter, if you read your Christian books you will know Peter was also a Doctor by profession, he possessed the skill of healing and Jesus needed someone to carry the First Aid kit on his trips around Europe, so here is how Peter was recruited:

Matthew 4:18-20 (KJV)
And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And the straight away left their nets, and followed him.
Now in the Bible, there is something the story doesn’t mention, the Andrew guy had no skill whatsoever [you know those guys that are always standing next to the DJ doing nothing but shaking their heads]. He could fish, but his skill was a bit useless to Jesus since most of the trips were mainly inland.
So when Jesus said he needed Peter, Peter said he is not going anywhere without his brother. Jesus tried to convince him to come along without his brother by doubling the salary he offered him, Peter stood his ground, he refused to go anywhere without his brother. Jesus, desperate for Peter’s skill, finally folded and took both of them on board.

Three quick lessons from this short false story:

First lesson: In life, you can never make it by yourself, even Jesus Christ the lord knew this, and hence why he handpicked his crew. If the son of God needed a crew, who are you to make it by yourself. So chose your friends very carefully, chose people that will add value to your life, chose people with goals as big as yours. In fact just the other day, someone said to me that he no longer wants friends in his circles, but business partners, that’s some pretty good advice if you ask me.

[But one tiny mistake Jesus made was picking a brilliant account named Judas, yep, same nigga that sold him out at the end was a brilliant financial manager, so you can never be too careful]

Second lesson: In this life time, there are billions of people alive, why are YOU special, why do we need you on Earth. So you want to make yourself valuable as a person, why should Jesus pick you for his clique. So one must acquire and master a certain skill, whatever skill that maybe, just prove why you deserve to share this oxygen with us. You can entertain us [sing/act], you can heal us [Doctors], feed us [farmers], build us things [engineers] and many more skills, just pick one and master it. Remember, Jim Rohn said “you get paid for the value you bring to the market.

Last but not least: Never backstab any of your crew members for monetary value. The people you have been with through thick and thin, those are your homies, the “ride together die together” type of people. You must treasure and value genuine friendships, those are pretty scarce to find nowadays, but then the other side of the coin reads “Do not carrying around anchors and dead weight with you
Jesus really was a great teacher…
